We decided to go out and see the Flowertown festival today! Wyatt is 3 weeks old and we thought we would really enjoy the fresh air and all the sights... and he did! Here are a few pictures of daddy and son enjoying boiled peanuts (don't worry Y didn't eat any!) I was able to store some milk for Y Y before we left and daddy fed him lunch! I finally got a picture with my boy, too!

The YMCA Flowertown Festival in Summerville, SC, is the biggest event of the year. And no wonder. Who wouldn’t enjoy a visit to the small town of Summerville, South Carolina, to enjoy blooming azaleas and southern hospitality during the popular Flowertown Festival. There is a lot to see and do at this popular festival. The 39th Annual flowertown Festival takes place on April 1-3, 2011. Every year Summerville celebrates the passing of winter with about 200,000 of its closest friends.

Lots and lots of Art!
The popular Summerville Family YMCA Flowertown Festival has been a South Carolina tradition since 1971. More than 200 artisans from across the country come to the Festival to show their skills and sell their art. You’ll find a wide variety of arts and crafts from painting, pottery, glassworking, woodworking, needlework and much, much more!

Taste of the Town
But the three-day event is not only about art. You can also enjoy delicious foods from local restaurants at the Taste of the Town,there is also fun activities and rides for children at the Children’s Jubilee. Now if that isn’t enough to convince you there is also free admission and parking. This festival has consistently ranked one of the Top 20 events in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society.

Parking
Shuttle Service ‐‐ Free park and ride is available this year, courtesy of Tri‐County Link.    Park at Berlin G. Myers Parkway and Highway 78, let the shuttle take you right to the Festival!
